For families, Norderney is one of the most relaxed islands in the North Sea: a car-free town centre, gently sloping sandy beaches, mudflat walks, the “Bade:Haus” leisure pool and short distances everywhere. Our holiday house at Langestraße 8 is right in the middle of it all – 300 m to the beach, 150 m to the supermarket, 50 m to the pedestrian zone. You won’t need a car on the island, and you won’t be pushing the buggy for miles either.
What families get included
- Children up to 12 stay free in their parents’ apartment.
- Travel cot (125 × 65 cm), high chair and nappy bin are provided free of charge in every apartment – just let us know when you book.
- Fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, fridge and coffee machine (dishwasher depending on category): porridge, pasta and breakfast without having to eat out. Microwave on request.
- Bread roll delivery: fresh rolls hang on your door every morning between 7:30 and 8:00 am.
- Board games for rainy days are available in the house.
- Pushchairs can be parked in the hallway, bikes and handcarts in the sheltered courtyard.
- Final cleaning, bed linen and towels are always included in the price – for longer stays we change the linen.
- Digital check-in: door code on your phone, arrive whenever you like – even if the ferry is late or the little one has fallen asleep in the car.
Which apartment suits your family?
The 1.5-Room and 2-Room Apartments (37–45 m²) are designed for 2 adults with one child: a box-spring bed for the parents, a sofa bed or cot for the child, and in the 2-room types a separate bedroom. Families with two or more children choose the Kapitäns Loft: 80 m², two bedrooms each with a box-spring bed, two sofa beds in the living room, a loggia, underfloor heating and a second WC. Dogs are welcome there too.

- Nordstrand (north beach) – 500 m, wide sandy beach with Strandkörbe (hooded beach chairs).

- Supermarket – 150 m, nappies and baby food without a detour.
- Pedestrian zone – 50 m, cafés, shops, pharmacy.
- Ferry terminal – 1.2 km, 15 minutes on foot or by island bus.

Getting here with children
Most families leave the car on the mainland in Norddeich and take the ferry (approx. 50 minutes). From the terminal, the island bus and taxis run to the town centre; if you bring your car across, you may drive into the town area for 45 minutes to unload luggage and then park in the public car parks (5–10 minutes away). You can also send your suitcases to us in advance.
